Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of May 16, 1977 includes articles on the perceived lack of preparation for the real world at RISD, the special faculty meeting and the vote of no confidence against RISD President Lee Hall, changes to fine art school at University College London, Providence artist Curt Saville, a Student Board meeting, RISD sports updates, a sculpture exhibition, album reviews, and artistic attitudes, along with comics, event notices, and other announcements.
