Description

RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of April 21, 1978 includes articles on problems in the Illustration department, the time-space study at RISD, a Student Board meeting, poor attendance at a RISD Museum event featuring photographers, a candidate for Vice President of Academic Affairs, an upcoming poetry reading by Michael Harper, criticism of a previous article on the Philips Lead building (renamed the Bayard Ewing Building), sailing updates, an Illustration exhibition, reflections on RISD from a graduating student, and the Coastal Road Massacre in Israel, along with a comic by Art Wood, a "Steven" comic by Doug Allen, event notices, and other announcements.
