Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of February 17, 1978 includes articles on the Blizzard of '78, the death of RISD English Professor George Sullivan, the decision not to re-hire Printmaking instructor Tom Gormley, the purpose and future of the RISD Press, an artist's talk by Cleve Grey at the RISD Museum, and a novel "Fail-Safe" and its relation to an incident involving a Russian satellite, along with a comic by Art Wood adapting Doug Allen's "Steven" character, a film review of "Annie Hall," event notices, and other announcments.
