Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of October 21, 1977 includes articles on the Student Board cutting funding for the cost of course evaluations, improved accessibility of works at the RISD Museum, a lecture on "annihilated Jews" by Roman Vishniac, the International Design Conference in Aspen, a class-related egg drop, a new student organization for redheads, and a student film competition, along with the comic "The History of Domesticated Animals" by "Dougie" [Doug Allen] and "Billie," event notices, and other announcements.
