Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of October 14, 1977 includes articles on the Market Square Redevelopment Project, a Student Board meeting, a RISD-Brown lecture series, the Career Planning Office, the sailing team, film reviews, a talk given by Lee Hall at the Hera Art Gallery, purse-seine fishing to protect dolphins, a 24-hour performance exhibition "Communion," exhibitions around campus, and "No Art in the Shop" t-shirts, along with the comic "The History of Leisure" by "Dougie" [Doug Allen], event notices, and other announcements.
