Description
Penny Dreadful Commission was a student organization at RISD that wanted to "demonstrate the range and expressive power of comic art by presenting a varied collection of work." All comics were student-submitted, and the publication was entirely student-run. Issue No. 1 is dated January 1, 1989 and features a front cover by Jason Fruchter and the comics "Words and Pictures" by Jason Lutes and Alexander Stadler, "Primemovers" by Craig Spearing and Noah Hensen, "Hammond Cheese" by Dave Kopperman, "Gone" by Douglas Bowker, "'I'm a Super Hero'" by Ed Shems, "Paranoia Will Destroya" by Adam Gould, "The Pedestrian" by Reid S. Mihalko" and "Epp II" by W. Tib-Tih.
