On was an interdisciplinary graduate periodical established by RISD graduate students in 2006. It featured essays and student work that related to a general issue theme. On was intended as a quarterly publication, but it is unclear if further issues beyond the first were ever published.

Front wrapper and pages of text cut lengthwise in half, with plastic comb binding on outside edge of each half, folding together in center to enclose portfolio of loose plates. Text oriented along long axis with pages designed to be flipped up and down. Printed on heavy white and red paper, and acetate sheets with printed numbers. Portfolio sealed by original round sticker with Roy Lichtenstein explosion motif. A portfolio of 27 loose plates in black and white with reproductions of Pop Art works by Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Tom Wesselmann, James Rosenquist, and Andy Warhol. Includes brief biographical notes and small photographic portraits of the artists. Double plastic comb spiral binding, top and bottom of text. Formerly in the collection of the Kansas Cith Public Library Art File. Missing plate: Painted Bronze by Jasper Johns.
