Muffin was a newsletter produced in the early aughts by RISD’s Queer Student Union as a student guide to queer culture. The 2008 issue features creative writing, a book review of "The Gay Girl's Guide to Dating, Sex, and Romance," an "Ask Madame Muffin" column, a gay celebrity gossip column, screenshots of a thread on homosexuality from Yahoo! Answers, an article on sexual morality and autonomy, and a page of queer resources.

Muffin was a newsletter produced in the early aughts by RISD’s Queer Student Union as a student guide to queer culture. The January 2006 issue is the first since the February-March issue from 2004. It was revived by the Straight and Gay Alliance and features a "gay timeline," articles on freshman lesbians, female pirates Anne Bonny and Mary "Mark" Read, lesbians who look straight, why straight people are needed in RISD's Straight and Gay Alliance, a Jewish student's struggle to reconcile his homosexuality with his faith, and cheap and corny date ideas, along with a book review of "Women's Barracks" by Tereska Torres, a short story "An Encounter" and a poem by Ben Rubinstein, Mad Libs, a list of gay bars, and a list of queer resources.
