Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of May 5, 1978 includes articles on a Student Board meeting, the removal of RISD from the East Coast Art Schools consortium, an upcoming poetry reading by Audre Lorde, a student perspective on the faculty unionization, a "Positions in Architecture" symposium, a tribute to deceased student Joan Shewmon, the softball team, a Barnum and Bailey circus show, along with a comic by Art Wood, a "Steven" comic by Doug Allen, event notices, and other announcements.
