Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of September 16, 1977 includes articles on new faculty appointments, a student convocation, a Margaret Mead film festival, an exhibition on Dennis Oppenheim at URI, a proposal to transform the Bank Building into a gallery for Painting students, women feeling unsafe around campus at night, a collaborative symposium between Brown and RISD called "Space Window," an exhibit at the Nature Lab, and the Talking Heads' upcoming album "Talking Heads 77" (excerpt from New York Times), along with event notices and other announcements.
