Description
Blockprint was a student magazine published throughout the 1950s-60s. The March 24, 1959 issue is a dual April Fools Day issue, with pages 4-6 printed upside down as part of a mock publication called "Blockhead." The Blockprint issue features articles on parents touring the new dormitories and school during Parents' Day, a Manet painting "Le Repos" that was donated to the RISD Museum, a review of RISD Theatre's production of "Dangerous Corner", plans for the pharmacy building, an illustration field trip and crit, an Arnold Bank lecture on graphic design, and various lectures and events around campus. The Blockhead issue features articles making fun of various RISD organizations and aspects of student life.
