Abstract

Techstyle Haus is an international student collaboration that has designed a solar-powered passive house with high-performance textiles. The first Solar Decathlon entry to incorporate a complete textile enclosure, it seeks to challenge conventional architectural practices and approach homebuilding with a fresh perspective. The team includes representatives from Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and University of Applied Sciences in Erfurt, Germany.
