One of the first in a series of pop-up books based on fairy tales, created as a collaboration between the publisher Blue Ribbon Books and paper engineer and illustrator Harold Lentz. !b Lentz "borrowed" some of the designs from the earlier Bookano series published in London, although it was Blue Ribbon which first introduced the term "pop-up."
