The publication includes both images from her family album and pictures she has been taking of the place and its inhabitants sinced 2005. The apartment is in the neighborhood of Washington Heights, located in northern Manhattan. Offset printing. Stapled. Born in Brooklyn, Groana Melendez was raised between New York City and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Her parents immigrated to the United States in the late 1970’s from the Dominican Republic.
