Title page within ornamental border, printed in black and brown, text page headers also printed in brown. Bound in green publisher's illustrated cloth binding with a stamped image in green, red, blue and gilt on the front cover, representing a view of Nazareth from an illustration by Jules Guerin. The spine has the title and author in gilt with a frame around the title. CONTENTS: Baalbec, the town of the sun -- The spell of Damascus -- From Damascus to Nazareth -- From Nazareth to Jerusalem -- From Jericho to Bethlehem -- Jerusalem -- The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the ceremonies at Jerusalem. Color plates have printed guard sheets, text printed in red. Gold leaf top side of text. Side and bottom text have deckled edges. Book design by Decorative Designers (Firm); Designers monogram, overlapped DD, with the second D reversed, on cover design. Gift of the Estate of Gino Conti.
