Description
75 pages : color illustrations. Numbered edition of 100 copies. Date of publication from colophon. In clamshell box (25.5 x 20 x 3 cm). Box covered in brown velor fabric with tan stitching that looks like the stem of a plant. "Parts of the book .. printed at AS220, RISD, Brown University as well as Outlet, Staples, and Minuteman Press." -- colophon. Types and sizes of paper varies, some folded, mounted, tipped-in, etc. Stab binding with black thread. Bassuet also wrote the foreword, front cover calligraphy, illustrated the back cover, and served as the publication's art director. A collaborative artist book of 19 Korean American creatives on the theme of Roots, printed with a combination of letterpress, silkscreen, risograph and digital printing. The open theme of roots have been interpreted differently by each artist. Participating artists include: Andre Lee Bassuet, Andrew Yong Hoon Lee, Da Hey Yang, Emeric L. Kennard, Gina Bae, J P, Jeffrey Yoo Warren, Jonathan Chan, Jules Kang Sharpe, Julie Lee, Kaela Han, Karis Ryu, Kyunghee Kim, Lynne Connor, Soyoung L. Kim, Trent Kim, and Yun-Hee Proffit. --Publisher. Library has copy no. 69. Artists include Jules Sharpe, currently a senior in the Illustration Department at RISD.
