The Photography Department brought visiting photographers, photography curators and scholars, and other noted professionals associated with the medium, to participate in public and studio-based lectures, presentations, conversations and critiques relaying their craft, careers, social concerns, and historical and contemporary issues of photography. Many of invited guests provided multiple presentations during their visits. The department recorded the visits, 1976-1996, on U-Matic, Beta, VHS, and 8mm video tapes and audio cassettes. Many of the recordings were made by students as part of their studies. The MediaPreserve digitized the recordings in 2022.
