Abstract
This project explores the fusion of traditional wood carving techniques with modern design principles, resulting in a unique Ocean of Design that showcases the beauty of cultural heritage. Inspired by the intricate carvings of my ancestors, who contributed to iconic landmarks like the Omer Hayat palace, I have created a pieces that not only highlights the craftsmanship of my artisans but also reflects my own journey as a designer. The Ocean of Design is influenced by the shapes of leaves and the clean lines of modern aesthetics, blending functionality with artistic expression. Through this project, I aim to promote my rich cultural heritage while demonstrating its relevance in contemporary design. The Ocean of Design serves as a symbol of the connection between tradition and modernity, where the past and present converge to create something truly unique. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design, I hope to inspire a new generation of designers to explore their cultural roots and create innovative pieces that celebrate their heritage.
