Description
All possible transformations using the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, and their symmetrical components were refined into two equations originating with an octahedron and ending with a rhombic dodecahedron. Model 1 illustrates the following equation:
octahedron + 8 triangular prisms = cuboctahedron cuboctahedron + 8 1/2 octahedra = octahedron octahedron + 7 1/4 tetrahedra = rhombic dodecahedron
