Description
Seven pieces that represent all the ways three or four cubes can be arranged, other than in a straight line, can be assembled to form a larger cube. The puzzle was invented by Danish poet, Peter Hein when listening to a lecture on quantum mechanics by Werner Heisenberg in 1936. The name "SOMA cube" is a reference to a drug in Aldous Huxley's book, "Brave New World," that induces a dreamlike trance.
