Description
Seven pieces that represent all the ways three or four cubes can be arranged, other than in a straight line, can be assembled to form a larger cube. The puzzle was invented by Peter Hein in 1933 while attending to a lecture on quantum mechanics by Werner Heisenberg. The name "SOMA cube" is said to be a reference to a drug in Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" that induces a dreamlike trance.
