Student-led podcast series featuring conversations with fellow students, faculty, staff, and alumni at one of the world’s premier colleges for art and design. In partnership with Fleet Library at RISD.
In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, rizdeology was founded in order to connect the fragmented RISD community, which had been displaced around the globe. The podcast's intention was to help share conversations about RISD's past, present and future from current students, faculty and alumni. Podcast founder and original host Michael J. Farris BArch '23 was succeeded in 2022 by current host Olivia Schroder BFA Film/Animation/Video '23. rizdeology is currently produced by Olivia along with audio technicians Sofia Carrera-Britten BFA Film/Animation/Video '23 and Zora Gamberg BFA Painting '23. As of fall 2021, Fleet Library is partnering with rizdeology to capture, preserve, and spread the voices of RISD for generations to come. Please contact Fleet Library at library@risd.edu if you have any questions or interview inquiries.

rizdeology | S3E2: Planting Roots in Providence
Olivia Schroder, Clara Boberg, Aya Borucki, Steven Johnson, and rizdeology
The in-between is where Providence shines. And with Spring upon us, it's a good time to think about transitions. Students graduate, new students file in, and the faculty and staff that make this school work rotate. Amidst all this change, it may be hard to see Providence as our home. Let's shift our perspective: how can we give back? Interviewees: RISD's student-led land care group The Regenerative Earth Collective team members Clara Boberg BFA 23 and Aya Borucki BFA 23 and RISD Structural Trades and Facilities Manager Steven Johnson.
