There are always areas that the sunlight cannot reach. A firework shoots up to light those dark corners with its weak glow. It hopes for the people that live in brighter places to see its light, but it's too faint. In its sparkling moment, the firework lasts only a few seconds, revealing and manifesting a hidden side of human society. Then the darkness is in darkness again.

Pale Firework collects voices from young artists who are concerned about concealed social issues, which are neglected by society. The show is a story of awareness, resistance, and sacrifice - a critical, rational, and sometimes intuitive approach to the violent nature of humanity and the invisible oppression around this "utopian" world. Together, this international group of artists, through their work, depict a universe in which the young generation fights against dominating power and ideology all while realizing how limited their own power truly is. They are a resistance against all types of social inequality, and devote themselves to telling the world their truth, no matter how small.

The artists in Pale Firework share an interest in the critique of ideological influences enforced on us, and are determined to challenge our imperfect system. Different voices can be heard from different perspectives, coupled with their ambitious gestures in reaching the limit of individual expression. This exhibition explores the truth of society, and eulogizes its unheard stories.
