This Fall, v.1, RISD’s student-run literary and arts publication, asked our community to render a glimpse through their window. We wondered: What do you see? And in an ideal world, what would you wish to see?

Prompting observation, reflection, and radical imagination, we pictured windows as portals to inner and outer worlds. As our natural, social, and political ecosystems change in ways we’ve never seen before, we witnessed surprise, intervention, invitation, and new perspectives. From collective imaginings, manifested through drawing and writing, an installation of colorful “windows” grew at the Color Lab.
