Description
Resistance / Cells 2020, Material printing on handmade paper, 16.5" x 11.8". Heike Berl is a visual artist based in Dresden, Germany. A graduate of the Anhalt University Dessau of Design and the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, she explores the idea of poetry and transience in life and nature in her work. In 2003, Berl studied with Professor Andreas von Weizsäcker at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, which helped inspire her to become a paper artist. Since that time, she has worked as a visual artist, specializing in pulp painting, drawing, and editions.
