Description

The Calendar of Art Events of May 1937 includes an article about the new Metcalf building on the RISD campus. This building was named in memory of Helen Metcalf, one of the founders of RISD. The article was written by Royal Farnum, executive vice president of RISD. Also included are the times, topics and locations of art exhibitions, plays, concerts and lectures in the Providence area. Art exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Yale University Art Gallery and museums in Massachusetts are also mentioned.
