Mixed Media began as the student publication Your Name Here. The November 18, 2000 issue centers on sinning and includes articles on the RISD Christian Fellowship, the Upper Hill Alliance (UHALL), folk artist the Reverend Howard Finster, cocaine, the film "Altered States," Jean-Michel Basquiat as a shaman, art and transformation in China, and the pleasures of walking, along with the comics "Piggy & Bunny", "Brie" by Brie, "Martyr" by Heino, "Classic T.E. Nailsworth," "Captain Obvious" by Paolo Rivera, event notices, and other announcements.
