Description
Mixed Media began as the student publication Your Name Here. The April 18, 2000 issue includes articles on student life at RISD, a Phillip Glass performance at the RISD Auditorium along with an interview of Glass, a story artist at Warner Bros. named Fergal Reilly, a recent lecture by author Ngugi wa Thiong'o, interest in a RISD student radio, RISD alum Treva Orfutt, a conversation with Brian Chippendale of Fort Thunder, the opening of Hoyt's Cinema in the Providence Place mall, and how Roger Mandle lives in the President's House, along with the comics "Brie" by Brie, "Adventures of the Naked Bandit" by Loose, "Lighthouse" by bean, event notices, and other announcements.
