Mixed Media began as the student publication Your Name Here. The December 1, 1997 issue includes articles on elective offerings at RISD, RISD Museum exhibitions, and difficulties enrolling in Liberal Arts classes, along with the comic "Man vs. the Pseudo-Intellectual" by Adam Swaab, event notices, and other announcements.
