Description
RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The issue of October 7, 1977 includes articles on the controversy over whether the RISD Press should print a memo by former Provost Jack Stewart, a freshman field trip to Boston, a Student Board meeting, student course evaluations, the "Space Window" exhibition at the Bell Gallery, RISD sports updates, an international sculpture exhibition, and a Harry Callahan retrospective, along with comics by Robert Brun, Art Wood, Doug Allen, Bill Greenberg, and others, event notices, and other announcements.
