Description
Blockprint was a student magazine published throughout the 1950s-60s. The March 4, 1968 issue features articles on an informational faculty meeting about unionization, a Rascals concert at the Rhode Island Auditorium, a faculty meeting on operations at RISD with Bayard Ewing, the RISD Committee to End the War in Viet-Nam, a Tissot exhibition at the RISD Museum, a folk music concert in Memorial Hall, a Student Council meeting, the formation of a RISD Student Association, and the comic "It Makes You Think" by Bill Plimpton.
This issue also includes an insert commemorating Take-A-Break Weekend, with photographs of Janis Joplin and Big Brother and the Holding Company, as well as scenes from the variety show and RISD students.
