Description
RISD Voice was a long-running student newspaper that ran through the 1980s. This issue, dated October 3, 1989, includes articles on threats to the National Ednowment of the Arts due to a controversial Mapplethorpe exhibition, a student group "United Students," recycling, racial discrimination, a new student group called "Forum," accidents in the studio requiring medical treatment, imbalances in the Brown-RISD partnership, the Student Board, and cycling in Providence, along with editorials, comics, notices, and advertisements.
