Description
RISD Voice was a long-running student newspaper that ran through the 1980s. This issue, dated April 22, 1987, includes articles on a new student community engagement group called "RISD Solidarity," the end of the Mellon Lectures series, an exhibition featuring RISD women's art, scholarly opportunities at Brown, ways for RISD to engage with the community, the termination of Graphic Design instructor Don Adleta, a proposed bill to divest Rhode Island state funds from South Africa, a project to discover why American towns were named after European cities, and a RISD student who's also a Grateful Dead roadie, along with editorials, comics, notices, and advertisements.
