I tried to record the changes on these islands from my own perspective, to understand the relationship among local people, natural environment, cultural heritage and modern civilization via observing, and to think about how they adjust their social status and lifestyle in the new cultural ecology to keep up with and adapt to the rapidly changing era."--artist's statement.
