Abstract
Making space more useful, comfortable, and human through the design of furniture, is an inherently pragmatic discipline. Yet, even within the constraints of existing production processes, the daily use of furniture objects offers opportunities for long-lasting poetic expression. Poetic pragmatism celebrates the complexity that arises from simplicity and attention to shifts in atmosphere.
This body of work invites a closer consideration of both materiality and methods of production in the objects we choose to live with. By intentionally embracing negative space and connections, these designs exercise subtlety and restraint, serving not as declarations but as companions—quiet tools that foster deeper, more enduring connections between people and their possessions.
